Our Story

Founded by innovator, Rod Herrick of Roddie Inc., in the early 1990’s. Rod created trenchless equipment to be used for his underground service line replacement company. Roddie, Inc then became a manufacturer in 2010 refining and selling all the trenchless tools that got us to this point.

Our first breakthrough product, was the R-2 Pipe Bursting Machine. This quickly became a trusted solution for crews who needed reliable power in compact work areas. As the industry evolved, so did we. Through continuous refinement and hands‑on field testing, we expanded our lineup to include today’s advanced R-8®, Pit Shot®, Bore Glide, and Basement Buddy® systems—each engineered to deliver greater accuracy, efficiency, and durability.
